I taught English conversation in Tokyo for one year, worked at Toyota Motor international purchasing in Toyota City for one year, and was an interbank currency options broker in Tokyo for three years.

Basically a plan to stay and work odd jobs for six months to see a foreign country accidentally turned into five years. The currency brokerage job was a higher level position than I anticipated being able to get, so I stayed longer than planned basically due to a lucky break getting a decent job.
