Well I would prefer to see a few big moves here $5-$10 over a few days... and then sustained advance, first above $435 and then a breakout to new highs.

I don't think the countertrend cyclical bull market in the USD is over. The current correction should take it to $87ish as you suggest but then $95 remains in the card before the secular bear resumes.

If gold stays below $435 or below $456 in that correction, then I am afraid any sustained move to new high will have to wait to next year... and depending on where gold tops, we might well visit again the low $400 or lower on that final leg up in the $USD.

My opinion...based on my intuition only... not worth a lot <g>
