I came back to check and god help us the sucker is going bazonkers.

Short covering, I think,but I'm not sure.

I'm very pessimistic about the macroeconomy, and took 50% of my portfolio off the table.

Now I think that we will do OK for a couple of years at most, then the humongous twin deficits and failure to save coupled with the inevitable bursting of the housing bubble will give us an economic blow like none we've seen in decades.

I don't want to get caught with a stock market going south as it inevitably will for the reasons I cited so I'd rather incur small opportunity costs rather than lose capital.
