I guess if the basket were composed like that, then the mix could be made public.
But my bet is that the basket is NOT composed like that, and it would be VERY easily to be manipulated by the big currency players and big financial institutions, especially when vs. China, all those big international Bankers, currency traders,etc... whether they are from EU or the US, can organized into one body, and do something against China's interest. So YES, at the moment, keep it a secret is the ONLY one way to make this system work. This may not make sense to you, but it makes sense to China. |
