My generation grew up on Hendrix and the Beach Boys, Dylan, Van Ronk, John Sabastian, anything Motown, Gordon Lightfoot, Jessie Collin Young, Bread.....gosh I could go on, so I couldn't relate......or rather didn't try to relate.......to the grunge sound. My boys listened for awile, but preferred Country Western Music......I think because the lyrics made more sense......which I didn't start listening to until just recently. I was a late '60s, early '70s hippie and preferred Judy Collins and Joanie Mitchell, as well as the '70s Dire Straights, America and those listed above.

If you ever get to Seattle be sure to visit the Experience Music Project museum, and give yourself all day. The interactives are wonderful and just reading all the history and seeing all the displays takes that long.

Gotta run.....late for a date.
