My interpretation was you were suggesting this was a deliberate act aimed at causing a smallpox epidemic among the Indians. If that was not your intent, I misinterpreted.

I do not have the time or energy to run this down tonight, but I recall reading reports that it was never established (by persons other than Ward Churchill) that this was done with the intent to cause the spread of smallpox among the Indians.
