I thought that, as a general Western trend, the more educated and informed, the more likely you are to be 'liberal' (used in its apparent Fox meaning of "not far right-wing").

Incidentally, in a rare on-topic comment from me, the political center in the US seems very far to the right of the centre in most Western democracies. The only one that I can think of which comes close is Australia, possibly.
