Aavid Thermal Technologies Opens Facility
Operations Dedicated to Thermal Solutions for the Microprocessor Market
CONCORD, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 9, 1997--Aavid Thermal Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:AATT) announces the opening of a Manchester, New Hampshire facility dedicated to developing thermal solutions for the computer market. The new 47,000 square foot facility at 200 Perimeter Road will house manufacturing, engineering and sales operations.
The Manchester facility is less than an hour away from Aavid's largest manufacturing site in Laconia, New Hampshire and the headquarters of its Fluent software operations in Hanover, New Hampshire. According to Aavid Chief Executive Officer Ronald F. Borelli, ``This is an excellent location. It's close to our major North American operations, allowing us to draw on their expertise when we need to. It is also near to the airport, which is a great convenience, since the majority of our customers for thermal solutions for microprocessors in computers are outside the region.
``The new facility helps us to support our customers in the computer industry, who often face volatile market demands and short product cycles, without disrupting our efforts in our current plants to meet our other customers' thermal solution needs,'' Borelli concluded.
