It was Hobson's choice for the cops.....reports say he jumped a turnstile and was heading for a train...if he did have a bomb.....there was only one thing to do....and they did.

I haven't made any judgement on whether the police did any thing wrong. I happen to have a lot of faith in the British police; more than I do American police. But the possibilities ranged anywhere from a tragic mistake to exactly the right thing to do.

At the time of the intial reports, I don't know whether the guy even spoke English [London is a frequent holiday destination]. I've travelled in a number of countries where I didn't speak the language and if the police yelled at me to stop [or duck, or evacuate] I wouldn't know what the hell they were saying. Hopefully, I won't be shot because I didn't speak the language.

If the guy was a terrorist, I'd much prefer to question a living person than a dead one. One report indicated that he was pushed down and suggested he was subdued. IF that's true, it would be unfortunate that he is dead; he can't be interrogated. I can't get a lot of information from a dead person.
