re:The percentage of women aged 16 or above participating in the civilian workforce is 60%; for men, its 70%

You really are irrational - the subject was supreme court candidates, I posted the percentages available. Deal with the facts not 16 year olds , they don't qualify as judges.

Huh? Excuse me, I know you are one of the myth based but "16 or above" is how the civilian workforce is defined.

And this is what you said:

"Given that even today some large percentage of women decide to be housewives and mothers first the true number of qualified women could eventually be somewhere between 25-40% in total in the near future. I don't think it will ever get to the population percentages, even if more fathers decide to stay home."

I was simply pointing out that the percentage of 16 and over women in the workforce is nearly at the same percentage as men 16 and over. So your supposition that the ratio for any organization including the Supreme Court should overwhelmingly favor the men makes little sense.

re:and you want to restrict them to 10% of gov't representation. What is your second job......being an ayatollah?

You are such a judgemental dick for a liberal - I never said anything like that.

Go back and read what you posted, redneck. You posted that current representation in the Supreme Court should reflect what the current representation is in other gov't units like the cabinet. And that percentage is around 10-20% in your estimation. What do you think anyone reading that would infer? Duh! Let's set the participation of women in gov't at 10-20% while explaining that lots of my friends' wives like to stay home and take care of the children so the pool of women is inadequate for levels beyond 10-20%.

Oh never mind. I can't believe we are even having this discussion.
