I have been reading this thread and Mish's view points for a long time, and the inflation/deflation argument persists and is not yet settled. Mish is not at all alone in his arguments, and I believe they deserve to be considered and vetted. And if I am right, I believe his main argument on the deflation side is the pricking of the real estate bubble which would have other serious consequences, all deflationary.

And he argues passionately at times, but keeps it in friendly tones from what I have read.
