Let me explain how and why you're so-so wrong and dishonest.
first, do you have any liberal friends? Bet you dont. Bet you live in an isolated conservative world where you don't even know any liberals.
If you knew liberals personally and explored their thinking you'd realize that their views are much closer to Jesus Christ's than the rightwing's are.
After all, both Christ and Lennon said it's about LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. Peace, happiness, freedom, equality. These are the main things people from the post 60's liberal movement care about.
In this context they also love their country. They just don't love the mega-corporate military-industrial polluter part of our country. And they have a good point. Look at what those forces have gotten us into in Iraq.
Nobody likes abortions, but abortions are sometimes necessary when due to a lack of sex education and/or birth control or RU-486, an unwanted pregnancy somehow goes on for too long. At that point it is a very painful and personal decision for the woman and no one else. Republican women get abortions too, but no woman gets an abortion without a lot of soul-searching.
If you were right about them "hating" so much then they'd be out on the streets throwing rocks and threatening officials, like the dishonest "Free Terri" types were doing. But the left-wing liberal movement is quite peaceful. But they do care very deeply about freedom, peace, the environment and brotherhood amongst men. Those who are gay also care about gay rights, but we now know many rightwingers are (closeted usually) gays too.
Plame did not out herself. Quit lying. The CIA would never have insisted on the investigation if she had outed her. Rove and/or Libby did it. And you know it.
Nobody clapped when Saddam killed people. That's an insane remark. However the Reagan administration did not make a peep when Saddam gassed the Kurds in the 80's. The Reaganites, including point man Rumsfield, also extended Saddam a 500 million credit line for purchasing arms.
So maybe you're rooting for the wrong side. |
