well the topic here is 'compendium of liberal fiction' so liberal fiction is always fodder for the thread, and he seems to think you are a big proponent of that.... of course i disagree that trying to foist one's personal feelings upon an individual not interested is acceptable behavior... he expressed his opinion about your new found affection toward him which was negative, yet you persisted in sending him messages he considered inappropriate and disingenuous perhaps he's simply a great jane austen fan.... "my good opinion once lost, is lost forever" yes do consider yourself reminded...
