That has not been my experience of lefties. I know there are some very strident voices on SI, on both sides. There are voices that claim to represent the left that are not kind, and that are not rational. I would not want you to think those represent the left anymore than (I assume) you would want me to think the "nuke mecca" folks represent the right- because I know they do not represent the right, and I think you know the voices from the far far left do not represent the left.

Would you agree that the extremes of both sides can sometimes be an embarrassment to their relative parties? I think this is so. If we agree on that, that's a big step (imo).
