My kids go by Pedersen - everyone spells it Pederson or Peterson. I used to get so annoyed with that as a kid - now they say Lindstorm, to which I say "Lindstrom like Nordstrom's".


I always like the -sen names. There were so many -son names in MN, -sen was a welcomed change. However, I never knew they signalled a distinction between Swedish and Norwegian.
