I have many friends of the "left" political thought, and most of them are just appalled at the new progressive far left wing of their Grand Old Party that has taken over.
These are the folks that always talk about the "Christian Right"....
Ever hear them say the "Christian Left"...???

The Left Wing Christians?
These are the folk that call people names, and call our President a liar, and everything else repugnant that we see daily in the MSM media....
I was with several of my Left of center friends this afternoon....the discussion touched on the bombing in London, and whether there should be profiling or not....Then the death penalty, and if there should be one or not....
I did ask what they were going to do when we had a stoning here in the US. Some folks have that custom in other lands, and some will want to have it here....Most of my friends were appalled, and said..." Oh, no, that won't happen here...It's against the law"............ I said: "Well so is any kind of murder, but that doesn't seem to bother some people"....
Some were against the death penalty....I'm not for it, but realize some crimes certainly do deserve it. Saddam, for instance.
But really, what I said, was that perhaps we should buy a few islands in Anarticia, and parachute some people (like the recent sex offender that killed two children, and two adults AFTER he was let out earlier than he should have been for sex offences)....anyhow, parachute some of these people to the island, give them a tent, parachute food in once a month, and water....some blankets, and let them find themselves for a few years. Pretty soon there could be a community of them, and they could police themselves, and leave the rest of society alone. |
