The Patriot Act needs to be eliminated, because abuse is inevitable.

<<< Section 213, which allows law enforcement to do a search and notify the target after the fact and has been used 155 times as of January. The Times notes that 90 percent of the cases didn't involved terrorism-related issues, that the average delay in notifying targets was between 30 to 90 days, and that in six of the cases notification has been withheld indefinitely. >>>

Of course there are abuses. You are giving the enforcement people near carte blanche to do what they want. Look what happened in London when the cops were given near carte blanche to do what they want. They killed what appears to be an innocent man who died petrified, probably not understanding at all what the hell was happening. Enforcement typically abuses its power.

And the idiots timing for the London bombings couldn't have been more perfect..........it played right into the hands of American neocons. Americans are peeing their pants over the London bombings. The Patriot Act is about to be a permanent fixture in this country.
