Really. Totally unpredictable. Never remember so many competing interests in one small country. Shiah, Sunni, Kurd, the US, Iran, Syria relative to the Kurds, the "government", the insurgents, the militias, the imported "terrorists" from Saudi and other countries, the HAL's, all doing their dance on top of the worlds second largest hugely precious oil reserves at $50 something a barrel.

There is no way to predict anything... except that the end game probably won't happen in my lifetime.
