This is new to you? It is not like there aren't honest politicians, heck, maybe even most are. But politics attracts the brighter con men. They can win an election and think they have a carte blanche. In addition, you have those who find out they don't have the strength of character to resist some of the temptations that are dangled in front of them. And finally you have those who cut corners in the pursuit of their goals. The latter category is probably the saddest, and their staffers should stop them before it causes a problem. But too many of the staffers are ass-kissers, so...
