Hello Ken. Nice to see you drop by. H5N1 is sure to be much worse than Islamic Jihad, but it's a LOT more fun for police to disguise themselves as civilians then hunt down and kill people who are guilty of looking like foreigners and who run for their lives when said thug-looking disguised police launch what is obviously an attack.

Police love bombings because it gives them excitement and power and a hunt and lots of fun and reporting and stuff. People like power, and especially authoritarian types do and the bombings give them power, so it's like a tag team. Islamic Jihad bombs and the police go nuts. The losers are the public.

H5N1 seems like just another bit of boring science boffin jargon to the constabulary and security people. Just as they shut the cockpit doors after the hijackers had bolted through, they'll do something about H5N1 when the bodies are being buried in mass graves which make Milosevic's and Saddam's look trivial and even Adolf's look minor. It'll be too late then.

It's more fun sailing an aircraft carrier and flying a fighter jet than preventing a flu bug.
