Same thing goes with history and politics. The more I read, the more I recognize when an ideology has matured from a simply bizarre minority to one that becomes a global threat. Hitler's was one and fundamentalist Islam is another. I'm not sure why you don't see it that way, but that's your prerogative. For those who do see it as a major threat, we know that this type of problem has to be confronted with the gloves completely off. There can be no compromise with something like this or the people who support it.

I see terrorism as a global threat. I think we need to take action. However, I think your's is an overreaction. You are willing to nuke Mecca as a reprisal. That's like punishing a bank robber by going into his neighborhood and wiping out everyone's house within a ten block radius of his house. Its called overkill. You are prepared to throw the baby out with the wash. I won't go that far.
