MD, Correct your are! I was going to reply in agreement to your initial penguin post. I have long been fascinated by penguins.

I believe also the mother penguin brings back food for the family from her winter forages. If a penguin should be orphaned, another penguin family will take it in.

You might take comfort in knowing that penguins are of no practical use to anyone other than another penguin. They are all blubber and fat and thus inedible Their coats cannot be used for any sort of fabric and thus are useless to anyone but them. Penguins are utterly useless, except to each other and, of course, their infinite entertainment value to us humans. - Holly
