I can understand why. Even the CIA folks, I am told, do not enquire about the nature of work of their colleagues in deference to their safety and security. And Rove misuses his security clearance to put her life in jeopardy.

Even her neighbors did not know what she did for a living. They were under the impression that she was an energy analyst. Wonder how they felt after learning about her from Novak's column.
