The lower end appreciation has been astounding the past couple of years in bubble markets. Tripling and quadrupling while in the upper middle markets where all the construction is taking place in land constrained markets is up only up a more reasonable 40-50%<g> David Lereah, NAR’s chief economist just voiced concern on CNBC that a 14% nationwide gain is unsustainable and a ton of risk in local markets. No kidding but has it really changed much from when he was pumping his book a few months ago? Sure looks like he's done a great job at self promotion and is now a bona fide rock star ala Cramer<g>.
