Those phrases our colleagues (aka neighbors, friends) say are the generalizations they've absorbed by only watching FOX etc., and not being "into" politics as we are. They learn some facts weeks after we've already exhausted the stories, as we are wonks. You probably know more about politics than any of your friends eh? Same goes for most who post here. We're the friggin' experts because we live and breathe it. By the time the 6:30 news shows are on we're onto other breaking news. Am I right or am I correct? :•)
