It's a shame that you have first hand knowledge of Thomas M's unhinged left wing POV & you had just dealt with it on other threads.

FWIW, I agree with & understand what you meant in that post. Anyone who objectively reads the political threads on SI would agree.

There was little doubt that Dale was going to take it personally. You gored his Ox. He may claim to be a "centrist" or "moderate", but that is in name only.

I've read plenty of his stuff on the The so called "moderate" thread in addition to The View From the left of Center. He is a dyed in the wool liberal.

What I don't get is why folks can delude themselves into thinking they are really "moderates" or "centrists" when most of their POV's clearly lean to the left. Another clue might be when there isn't a single mainstream conservative issue that you are even slightly in agreement with. Heck, he can't even say anything positive about a conservative issue without adding a couple negative swipes.

Look at the tone, the labels & adjectives he uses when discussing conservative issues vs. liberal ones. That alone is quite telling.

Look at the articles & SI links he posts on his thread. They are from a liberal perspective & quite a few with discredited liberal memes.

And the stuff that passes as acceptable or mainstream on that thread? Iraqbodycount? That is a left wing, anti-war group that has been seriously discredited multiple times.

You'd think a real centrist would point some of that stuff out.

He even grouses at those who have the audacity to accurately label the MSM as liberal.

And I just love it when Dale posts left wing stuff & says something is "interesting". When he posts an "interesting" take on anything remotely conservative, it's a negative slant on it.

That's one reason why I severely limit my posts there. I know his tolerance for folks he perceives to be hard right wingers is extremely low. I know sooner or later I'm not going to bite my tongue with all the faux "centrist" views, obvious double standards & liberal memes presented as mainstream reality over there.

Then I'll join you on the ban list for accurately posting the obvious.
