In most case parental notification works just fine. I was a teacher in an earlier life and told the parents of a 5th grade boy that there son was fooling around too much in school. Next day kid came in visibly beaten with bruises all over. That was over 30 years ago. Never forgot that. Can you imagine some pregnant teenager with in idiot for a father. I can.
