"You can lump the formerly mainstream media like NYTimes, LATimes, Wash Post, ABC, CBS, CNN, etc. into this. These are all just as guilty of editorializing as Rush, Sean, Laura, et al. The difference being that the conservative talk show hosts are honest about the fact that they are editorializing instead of reporting the news. The FMSM are dishonest about this."

While I agree that everyone has an agenda, I think the idea that conservative talk radio always holds itself out as editorializing and not just giving the facts is a little disingenuous. The "fair and balanced" theme coupled with Rush's regular claims to be telling the truth, bother me. I enjoy Rush as entertainment, but not as a source of facts...which he claims to be regularly.

The most patronizing aspect of talk radio is when it proclaims that its listeners are the "most intelligent listeners in all radio". I guess they are intelligent because they listen to talk radio? Huh? Or is it because they always seem to agree with the host? And yet people seem to lap it up.
