TXN won't acquire either. I actually tried to broker a deal through a buddy of mine with Maxim about 5-6 years ago. OVTI was at approx. 3.5 and could have been acquired for a total of 85million $$ or so and Maxim knows better than anybody mixed signal technology. Add to that I (sued to) know Jack Gifford (CEO of Maxim) quite well so why not? Guess what, like everybody and his sister in Si Valley, he had no clue. He could have picked it up for nothing and Hong did not yet have a poison pill in place. Taro
