TXN won't acquire either. Why do you say this - because you think Hong doesn't want to sell? Also, has there ever been hostile takeovers in the semi industry, like the ORCL/PSFT thing? It would be interesting to have a BRCM or TXN offer $25 per share all stock deal, and do a hostile takeover of OVTI if the mangement doesn't want to sell. At $25, it would be hugely accretive for a bunch of semi companies, and its a ~70% premium over the current share price so OVTI management would have a tough time claiming its not a fair offer. I just want to see something that will panic the 35% of the float that is short!
