I am not a right wing extremist guys (not you Sun Tzu and SP) but others that have posted to me.

But - I look at each issue - and decide on my own. I agree with neither side all the time.

There are times when I could support Bush - as 99% of the people in the US did after we were attacked.

I can guarantee you - that most of the people that said they were against what I mentioned would change your minds if we suffered a nuclear attack here.

Many people on the left - some who I know well that consider themselves pacifists, were for bombing Afghanistan after 9-11.

A nuclear attack on the US would be hundreds of times worse than 9-11 - and I can guarantee you 2 things:

1) Over 95% of the American public would be in favor of a nuclear response - or would run any administration in power out of office if they did not do it.

2) That we would see such a response.

We should focus on working for peaceful outcomes so we do not get to that point - but that scenario always hangs out there - as is always a possibility.

I personally dislike the Bush administration, but value US
historical artifacts such as the Capitol, White House, as well as the many museums and history of Washington DC a hundred times more than I value Mecca.

So, if these were all destroyed, along with all of our government - then I continue to believe that most American would call for a severe nuclear response - and this would happen - whether we would agree here or not. That's the way it would go down, IMHO.

So, let's work to prevent it huh? A start would be for the US to work to get out of Iraq, and out of the Middle East. We should also pressure Israel to keep to UN resolutions - and pressure it financially to do so also.

JMHO,
