The FAST 1 will never be used as first line device when time is not of the essence due to the cost, procedure complexity/risk and medical personnel familiarity with the IV procedure. But according to the Pyng website 10% (1MM) of all IVs fail this is a US130MM market worldwide. And when you add in the situations were time is of the essence and military/disaster applications the market could actually be US$200MM as Mike was so fond of stating back in the heady days of 1998.
