Yes, Monetarism is a delicate flower which exists only in Perfect World where the brain of the mighty Friedman keeps the porridge not too hot and not too cold.

In this actual world Monetarists show their contempt for the central banking system, by working for their local central bank of teaching students about central banking.

They prove their dedication to free markets by requiring savers to subsidize borrowers and encouraging the creation of massive debts at a rate far faster than economic growth.

They show their rejection of the Nanny State by promptly cashing their subsidy cheques.

They show their contempt for Fiat Money by creating more of it to "fix" every economic problem real or imagined.

To further show their contempt for Fiat Money they imagine a million pseudo-objections to gold backed currency the barbarous relic - the relic whose long successful history, based on the actual human condition and real daily needs for a money which retains its value, stands in silent rebuke to Monetarists and their aerie faerie theories about Perfect Markets and the Seven Dwarfs.

Monetarists are like thieves who burglarize homes to pay for the printing and distributing their pamphlets -- promoting justice and honesty. If you want to know what they're all about they suggest you should read their newest pamphlet -- or you could look at their actions instead and come to a different conclusion.
