Ted, if Donald Trump wanted to build "Trump Boondoggle" on Souter's property, is that "public use" of the Souter estate? If so, why is that? Because "Trump Boondoggle" pays taxes, which means it belongs to the public?

I believe the article Harris posted was done as a putdown of Souter for voting with the majority on the eminent domain issue. Eminent domain typically is used for major gov't projects.......like a football stadium, freeway, trains, airports, other gov't structures, etc. Without it, you wouldn't be able to drive to work and a freeway would take decades to build.

Trust me, Souter's house in NH is safe from eminent domain.

Seems like the door was just thrown wide open for a state-controlled economy.

Once gain.........the hysteria. There are restrictions in place to keep eminent domain from creating a state controlled economy. Your precious capitalism is safe.
