You know what Russ...its certainly raising questions with me:

1.) purchase could be Peter Lynchs old "diworsification" strategy...why not continue to farm this stuff out to these guys?

2.) Why did they cancel their stock re-purchase plan...if micrascan is a success isnt this thing CHEAP?? What else can be a better investment?

3.) I'm afraid they will buy another company just to make them harder to swallow for a possible suitor...not for good reason...just to keep "Pappy" in the drivers seat.

4.) Does this purchase also portend future announcements about delays in the optics..."but now its OK cause we have it inhouse now...just takes a while to ramp up"...type of stuff???

Also....I keep hearing about SVGI selling all the steppers it can....well why only the small announced contract so far??? (30 scanners over 2 years wasnt it?? Their supposed production is 200 per year! So a backlog of what a couple of months?)
