I guess I would describe your analysis as strategic ignorance. There are many missions where one wants to deliver a big bang and deliver it so that no one knows it's coming until bang. That is not always possible with B-52s. In addition there are many missions that even improved B-52 would not survive. The technology ignoramus often see inventing a better mouse trap as simply reinventing the wheel. The short term fool simply is unable to see that even mice evolve. If only lawyers could be as wise as mice. The surest way to know a true blowhard is to see those caught in their ignorance respond with veiled vulgarity. Hello,
