Toyota, Moving Northward

Sloppy economics by Krugman. We discussed the education quality difference between Alabama and Toronto the other day. Money has nothing to do with it, of course. When discussing the Utah/NJ HS graduation percentages the other day, JohnM pointed out [to my glee] that demographics make a big difference. [When I point this out, I'm "racist," since I am on the right.]

When you look at the per-capita money poured into DC and NYC and then look at the dismal results, you know that raising the teacher's salaries doesn't lead to better results.

Krugman loves the fact that Canada pays for Toyota employee health insurance, getting Toyota off the hook. OTOH, he claims that Walmart is making our government pay for their employee health insurance, and that's it's a bad thing when that happens here.

He's such a hack.
