Rovegate could lead to Bush's impeachment on all kinds of conspiracy charges, including conspiracy to defraud the US voting system in 2000 and 2004.

Should this become part of the general investigation, John Kerry in particular will be seen as the rightful heir to the White House. Kerry has also been completely vindicated as all his policies stances turned out to be much smarter and more honest than Bush's.

However, in 2008, it is likely Kerry will face several powerful contenders for the WH, McCain and Warner in particular, though it is too early to judge the field. I don't see any rightwinger with a shot at the WH in 2008.
