Agreed Bob however, IF you are going to allow "freebie" members to post, they should be somewhat accountable for the content and accuracy of the shots they are firing.

I am personally very unhappy to hear that SI is even allowing freebie memberships. The main reason I PAID to be a member back in the 90's was to relieve myself from the garbage that occurs on free sites. Now apparently, someone can "sign-up" while having coffee at starbucks and start spouting off before the foam is gone.

The draw of SI was the sharing of good information and allowing board moderators to remove any crap as it happens.

The bottom line is, when someone has to pay to join the club, they tend to be better behaved. Whether long or short, the fear of being banned from thier favorite board without the option of creating a new "free" account keeps them behaved. Thats what keeps me on SI.

I am not defending the moderator of this board. I am defending all the pay members who work hard to collaborate and share good factual information. We are not here because we are bored. This is not entertainment. I don't have time to weed through pages of misinformation and hype/bash flame wars.
