That could be a better solution. I offered to create a board for him since free members can moderate boards even though they cannot create them.

It has been my practice to tell moderators of Politics forum that they can ban/unban at their discretion, since by design anyone who is entitled to post there is also entitled to start a new board. Boards in Investment forums are another matter, since readers and contributors typically are interested in sharing diverse opinions and don't take opposing opinions as personally as is the case on the political threads. Bans on Investment boards should be held to a higher standard; excessively disruptive, personal attacks, off-topic posting, etc. Difference of opinion in and of itself should not be the basis for a ban from an Investment board, unless perhaps it's titled "Bull (or Bears) Only".
