Big question is what happens when the next (inevitable) drought occurs 6-7 years down the road and the population relying on the water is 20% larger or more? Might even dodge a bullet on the next cycle but sooner or later the lakes will effectively dry up. When that happens the brown stuff will hit the fan big time.

Unless a major war or plague thins the population I expect a big population move to the great lakes area over the next 50 years,
