The FDA is in a state of opprobrium anyway. If a new process produces dramatic results against inflammation, then the FDA will be under intense media pressure and medical community pressure to approve. The FDA could even decide that the only benefit of statin drugs was against inflammation and they come with a whole raft of bad side effects, they could now stop statin drugs and promote Vasogen instead for inflammation.
