BIOX investors might want to take a look at the competition: Anika (ANIK). Current market cap only $54M at $9/shr, with finished ph III trials and NDA filing to happen soon for their Hyaluronic Acid OA product very similar to Synvisc. They eared $0.05/shr in the last quarter on sales of HA for eye surgery. Their OA HA product has been approved for sale in Europe, launch is awaiting for marketing license agreement which should be coming soon. They are also developing an anti-adhesion crosslinked HA product for surgery with in mouse models works better that Genzyme's current product. Comments and opinions welcome. E.C.
