Ooops. I just cut through my finger with the kitchen knife, well, since I started it I might as well continue cutting it off completely.

What is an international enemy? This is not WWIII except in the minds of those who secretly and deeply love the excitement of war. People do not universally love peace. People do not universally love freedom. There are tons of war mongers who delight in conflict and there are those who delight in the profits of conflict. This is their argument:

"if so and the war should not have been started, we are in combat with terrorists now"

The rationale for being at war now is no better than the rationale for going into war in the first place. Remember, we went to war against the imminent threat of nukes from Saddam Hussein.

Where is Saddam now? Where are the nonexistent nukes now? Where is the imminent threat now?

If we say that we are in a battle with terrorists, then we should be finding ways to not be in battle with terrorists. If we left tomorrow morning, withdrew our troops, our corporations, our plans for permanent military bases in Iraq, refused to take sides in any conflict anywhere in the ME (not just in Israel but in Saudi Arabia and Iran and Iraq) would the terrorists continue to attack us and our interests anywhere in the world?

If the answer to that is NO, then the combat we are seeing is a result of us being in the ME and meddling in the ME and not some global jihad or WWIII.
