The White House is now taking the position that he must first be convicted in a criminal court -- doing something wrong is no longer the criteria for dismissing Rove. As for the original declaration that it is "absurd" to suggest that Rove had any involvelement we now know that this was just one more in a long line of examples of the White House lying whenever it is politically expedient.
