I am sorry but you are parsing some facts from the 'entire rational'. bin laden and his kind are committed to establishing a Califate over all of Islam, which they prophesy will rule the world, so its not simply a small holy site. This has been promoted in madrassas all over the world for decades so it isn't simply Iraq reactionism. There are many contenders for this honor but bin laden is the most well recognized at the moment. He has some fierce competition from the radical Shi'ites like Al-Sadr. If or when either gets an upper hand they have vowed to annihilation of the other by genocidal wars.

Regardless of your cynicism over 'Liberty', people die every day all over the world, some struggling for good, some under the foot of tyranny, and some because they drove a car over the wrong bridge. The measure of my judgement has to do with who is being targeted unjustly. Yours seems to be whether or not you can damage some republican politician, and it doesn't seem to bother you one bit to insult the honor of people putting their lives on the line for you while you are at it.
