3,000 Americans died in one day. If you believe that to be a small number, I suppose you have no problem with fewer than half that total of Americans being killed in two and a half years in Iraq. And speaking of infinitesimally small, the number of alleged tortures in Abu Graib and Gitmo is only a fraction of those totals.

Considering these tiny totals, it does us no good to exaggerate our military's actions. It will only make you fearful, instead of rational and logically reactive.

And remember this, the odds of being tortured by our forces are so small that in terms of risks, it must rate far below bee stings, lightning strikes, and home accidents.
