Ahhh Are you so sure? First of all, why do you assume that a Iraqi Sunni statelet would be allied with Syria? Syria's is probably the only Arab Nation on friendly terms with Iran. Syria's ruling family are not Sunni they are Alawites - which was a schism of the Shiites. Syria's may support Iraq's Sunni terrorists and insurgents, but it is more likely (IMO) that they are opposed to Democracy more than anything else.

As far as Iran goes, Iranians are more closely related to Kurds than Arabs (I believe that one of the Shah of Iran's titles was the "Light of the Aryans" - Persians consider themselves to be Aryans). If you want to piss an Iranian off, insist on calling him an Arab (a Semite) - and Arabs know this. Shiite Iraqis may have hated Saddam, but they there weren't exactly falling all over themselves to join Kohmeini and his Iranian Revolution.
