Well regarding growing organic. It probably has to do with what part of the country you are in. Here in the Southeast we have a profusion of insect life including that foreign invasive scourge, Japanese Beetles. All organic growers here spend more time on prevention and maintenance out of necessity. I've seen Japanese Beetles and flea beetles kill bean plants in a day here. Still organic is worth it.
