Bush foolishly encouraged smears against the UN, calling them irrelevant, my way or the highway, letting Rove and his mouthpieces start a smear campaign against any country which questioned Bush's reckless rush into Iraq and corrupt big oil ties, then of course the rightwing exaggerated the UN oil for food scandal, which is much smaller than the Texas energy gouging scandals. In fact it's a drop in the bucket compared to what the Texas thieves have stolen from us. Also, we now desperately need the UN's help in Iraq but cannot get it.

Gallup poll the other say says the #1 concern of Americans now is high gas prices. It's been estimated that 1/3 of the energy costs we now pay are pure windfall profiteering. Hence the bloated overly-profitable big oil companies, plus the gouging freebies for Halliburton.

The GOP congressman who invented the tern "Freedom Fries" is now calling for Bush to pull out of Iraq.
